Hi! I was wondering everyone's opinion on this knife. Is it much different from the regular RC-3?
I don't see much talk/pics about it around here so should my first RAT be the MIL or the regular?
Anyone else thinking of buying this knife?
Any and all opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi! I was wondering everyone's opinion on this knife.

I love it! I like it the most out of all of my rats.

Is it much different from the regular RC-3?

Off of the top of my head, there really isn't a huge difference. The handles are canvas micarta, and feel really good in the hand, and have good grip. There are no liners. The pommel is sharpened at the tip. And it is individually numbered.

I don't see much talk/pics about it around here so should my first RAT be the MIL or the regular?

Can't go wrong with either, and will probably end up with both anyway.

Hey welcome to the site! Thanks for the help, Haha I hope I end up with both someday.
May I ask where you ordered yours?(MIL) The only site I have found is Kniveshipfree, any problems? I hear only good things but value all opinions.

And have you ever dealt with/heard of any problems with Knifeworks.com?
After reading all the GBU pages I did not see one thing on this company.

Sorry for all the questions I just want to be as informed as possible before pulling the trigger at any one place.

Thanks.

Roger @ Knife Works is a first class gentleman. Good folks. Good company. They care about their customer. Same with derrick at Knives Ship Free.

I get most of my knives from Derrick at KSF. Including my RC-3MIL. For your first RAT I'd take the MIL over the regular RC-3. I love variety and I like that the canvas micarta on the MIL version is different (but not necessarily better) than the handles on the other RAT knives. Plus the numbered knives makes them a little more unique. You'll probably end up with both at some point. My RC-4 was my first RAT and now I'm after the whole line! :)

Is knivesshipfree the only place to get these? I have looked like the above poster, but no other knife reseller seems to have them listed.
