Will the boot/belt clip for the RC-3 work on the RC-4 sheath?

Would the RC-4 work as well as the RC-3 as an EDC and would it be a good knife for everyday cooking duties such as slicing tomatoes and other vegetables?

I recently picked up a plain edged RC-3 in desert tan. I've fallen in love with this knife and find the boot/belt clip makes carry on a belt very comfortable. Few manufacturers seem to realize how important the sheath is. RAT Cutlery has produced what I consider the best sheath system on the market.

I plan to buy an RC-4 in the near future for a slightly better camping and survival knife than the RC-3. It would be really great if I could also carry it on my belt as my EDC.

Thanks for your support.

I carry my RC-4 on my belt daily using a length of paracord as a pair of belt loops. It works great and is very comfortable. It also comes with a set of Molle clips that act as a locking version of a belt clip and they work well. The sheath is top notch with a nice crisp lock in, adjustable tension and mulitple carry options. It's very nicely finished with buffed edges and no noteable sharp spots or areas to snag on things.

It's a great, sharp EDC knife that will perform any cutting task you ask of it but I don't think it would make for a very good dedicated kitchen knife. It'll slice a tomato, but I'm sure you could find other knives to do it much better.

There are two holes close to one another on the open/blade side of the sheath. Putting the screw in the top hole gives you substantially more tension than the bottom hole.

I have mine in the bottom hole and I still have enough tension for the knife to feel good and secure.

The RC4 should of came with an instruction sheet..if not you can go to the RC web page and they have it there as well.. but you question was answered by shotgunner11,Thanks Tony
