Hey Everyone, I ordered an RC6 and am thinking about a backup for it. What are the advantages of the RC3 vs RC4? Thanks!

if you ordered an RD6 than I would say go with the RC3. The RC4 and RC6 have more cross over. :D

I'd agree on the RC3.
It can handle the smaller, more delicate tasks better, and is thinner so it'll slice easier, IMO.

To me, the RC4 is for when you want one knive to do the jobs of the RC6 and RC3 -- kind of a jack of all trades kind of knife.

That just answered my question about what to get now that I have an RC-3. It will be the RC-6 for me next, undoubtably followed by an eventual RC-4 :D. But I also see another RC-3 in my future, as my girlfriend was admiring my RC-3 and commented:

"That is so beautiful--it looks like an elf knife." That's a compliment from her, believe me. She is a Nature artist, and has to cut a lot of branches and things for her pieces, so I'll bet she'd appreciate an RC3. Or maybe RC4.........

An Elf knife? Dude, we were hoping for some macho bad-ass adjective! An Elf knife? :D :D

Agreed, you have to be pretty manly to sport pink :D

And even MORE manly to sport a pink "elf" knife.

Well, "elf knife" was her choice of words, not mine :). And I believe she was not talking about those cookie elves or Santa Claus elves. She meant like the elves in the Lord of the Rings movies--they were basically bad-asses, so it's a compliment......right?
Besides, I doubt she'd call the RC6 an Elf knife
