I've been carrying my Spyderco Delicas for a long time, but I'd like to step up to the custom carry market. What 3-4 inch pocket defense carries would any of you recommend? Bear in mind that I'm carrying the size of a Delica right now, and I don't want to go much bulkier if I can help it.

For handiness and easy pocket carry, its hard to beat Crawford's Point Guard. Best of all, the prices are reasonable - goes for $300 (aluminium handle) or $375 (titanium handle).

Paladin, IMHO, you can't beat Bob Terzuola's ATCF. It is a little longer than the Delica but definitely not more bulky. Bob also makes the same style in smaller versions. I've been carrying one everyday for just about a year now and I still love it. Besides being an excellent and very well thought out defensive knife, it also excels for utility. He makes them with all titanium handles and also with different materials.
If you want to see them, go to the Robertson's Custom Cutlery, he has pics of all the models.
If you go there, do me a favor. Since this is my 800th post,I need some fun, tell Les I said to haggle prices with him.(don't actually haggle as he doesn't and his prices are good to begin with-I just like to watch his blood pressure rise)
