Red 911 Swat

Of course you knew I had to support the NYC fund somehow. This was a perfect marriage for me to spend money. It might even be "wife" approved ;) .
 
Tony, this one will be a Christmas present for my son, and the 911 did get the wife's approval.
 
I hope my wife is as understanding. Still haven't told her yet... Still, a worthwhile cause.
 
I beleive the SWATs were good knives to begin with. They have almost no play and they come in the larger size that I love. Oh and the Brass is awesome. I wonder if the red has that same kind of "shine" like the Ti BM's? It might not because it is Al.

It's the same anodizing as on the black version, according to Phil at 2theHilt.

Edited for spelling.
 
On the new Red SWAT, the latch gate is now cast in place, instead of the brass wire as before.
 
I didn't know they went to a cast latch gate...appreciate the information...

Is anyone else having a rough time finding pictures of this bali on the 2thehilt website. I can't find it anywhere on there.

I searched for balisong, butterfly knife, swat, tiger, everything. Maybe I'm just a bit slow, does anyone have a link?

The new Red SWAT bali is not on 2thehilt's site. The only available pics are the ones from the link in Hawaiian's post. It's near identical to the Black one except for the noted differences; red handles; 911 date stamp; signature of a T.Martinson(?); and the new cast in latch gate.

Speaking of which, does anyone have any contact info for SWAT?
 
Tony, SWAT doesn't have a web site. Contact Patrick at TAD or Phil at 2thehilt and they may be able to put you in touch with them.
