Sweet! For some reason I can see those on a traditional style hunter or SGK. How white is the white in it? Is it pigmented white or just left kinda natural?

Shadetree makes some awesome handle material! The other thing is he is located in Jackson,Mi.About 45 minutes west of where my family all live downstate.

If you put the red and blue fibers in loose, what would happen if you made little knots or woven patterns? Seems too time consuming and like it would be a pain when shaping the scales, but idk.

Thanks guys!

I make a lot of scale material myself but these are from Shadetree. I'm not too sure how this material is made but it does have fibers of all three colors. The fiberglass is just on the outside, I'll grind it away on one side and expose the glass on the glue side for a stronger epoxy bond.

I really like this material, is is very light and always lends for great balance.

I'm working on a Titanium Bottle Opener knife today with this material for scales! I hope to finish it by the Fourth, lol...

That's what I was thinking. Seems like one of the 3 Ti knives displayed a lot of blue in the pics. That should look amazing paired together.

Thanks guys! I had to sand it down about 5 times and re-anodize before I got a blue I was happy with. :D

I'm going to look at this again on a real screen when I get home next weekend. But even on my phone, that looks amazing. Nicely done!!
