I have several folding and balisong knives. As well as a few tactical, defensive knives. The glaring gap in my collection is the big fixed blade. It is down to the Project I and the Steel Heart. What do you think? I honestly value your input. Matt.

What will be this knife's purpose? Will it be a user? Or just to fill a gap in your collection?
If it's a user, get the one that serves the purpose best. If it's "just to have", get the one that trips your trigger the most. Either choice is an awesome blade.

If it's a collector..who cares? Get the one that looks the best to you:rolleyes:
If you're going to use it, get the Busse.

Ever considered a Trace Rinaldi knife? For a collection and a user, his work is hard to beat.

Busse and CRK approach the same problem in different ways. What do you expect from this knife purchase?

I've owned a lot of knives but nothing that even compares to the Busse as far as an incredibly tough, use it for anything and it keeps wanting more knife.

Get the Busse

If you are going to use it - Get the Busse. They are the best hard use knives in the world.

If you are going to just have it sit in your collection - Get the Busse. They are one of the few production fixed blades that actually don't lose their value - and may even appreciate.

The Sebenza is one of the classic folders of all time and a great knife. Most would say it rules, or at least is top 5, of that part of the market.

The big fixed blades of Busse rule their niche in the market. I agree with Contender, either way, collection or use, Busse gets the vote.

I also agree with Sid Post, Rinaldi makes a fantastic knife in his arena as well.

Busse Natural Outlaw and Rinaldi TTKK, my two favorite knives. One or the other is always within reach.

Best for hard use - Busse
Best for abuse - Busse
Holds value even when beat to hell - Busse

I just bought a CRK NICA 1 of 150 tanto small survival knife. I bought it as a collectable, but after handling it I have decided it will accompany me when motorcycling or flying over the nearby Rocky Mountains. A really well made and usable knife!

I'm sure the Busse is a fine knife, but the Project 1 is nice, too. I'm happy with mine.

I'd get...neither!
For that kind of money you can buy a handmade, built to your specs. Cruise over to the Custom Knife Forum and have a look around.

Thanks fellas! I actually do plan on using it. After reading your replies, I think that the choice is clear. Im getting the Busse.
