Refurbishing a BM 42

Hello, I usually post on the Balisong forum but I was directed here for my question. I have a BM 42 balisong with Ti handles and I belive a 440c blade. There are nicks and scrapes all over it (I beat on the poor thing). How do I (tools, techniques) sand this puppy to like new.

i belive that the 42 refers to the blade being BG-42 S.S. if you look in the FAQ's there shound be a link for basic hand rubbing a finish.

I was told, so it could be totally wrong, that the blade of the BM 42 Was 12-C-27 Sandvik Steel.
Like I said I dont know for sure, i could be totally wrong.
But it should take a nice handrubbed finish too, shouldnt it?
I have never worked with it so i dont know.

You could always sell it to me as a damged knife, for way way less than you paid for it...

No fix it up, then you can take pride in it, and what you did to make it all new again.
