Today I received my Bladeforums REKAT Carnivore, 15/50
. If my Carnivore is any indication of all the knives coming out of REKAT's door then any questions about their quality should be put to rest permanently!
This is probably as close to a perfect production knife as is possible. The opening action was initially a little stiff; some Breakfree lubricant solved that. The blade sits just about dead center between the liners when closed and locks open with a solid click. I can't find any blade play in any direction. The grind on the blade is symmetrical and is extremely sharp;handle scales and liners match up perfectly. This was my first REKAT knife and it looks as if I will be adding more to my collection. This knife was originally going to be a user knife
, but it is too nice for that. I guess I need a new Carnivore or perhaps a Carnivore Cub for daily carry. Anyone have a Carnivore and a Cub? Please let me know how they compare to each other. To answer my question "REKAT'S Quality Control?" Just great is what I think.
