This thread is an index of remembrances of forumites who have passed away. It is a place where we can come to find the links to memories past. We will try to keep an appropriate music file near the top, should you wish a little background music as you remember.

We have started by linking up a few of the threads we could find. If you know of others we should add, mention them in a post here. A moderator will stop by every now and then to swap files, add links, and disposition comments. Please post your enduring comments in the thread(s) related to the individual you are commenting about. This is just an index.

Thanks to all that have gone before us and taught us so much. Thank you to all who contribute and help us remember. These fine beings shaped many, many lives for the better. I am indebted.

They are always in our heart, thank you Howard

A wonderful idea Howard. It's a great way for them to be remembered for their contributions to our lives. May God bless them and their loved ones.

I have been away from this forum for several years. I am saddened to see some old friends gone. May they rest in peace. :(

I've also been gone for a few years, and didn't even remember my login info. But, I used to be on a khukuri buying frenzy back around 2001 - 2003. Sad to see old friends up on the list. :(

I am not a HI enthusiast but I do miss Yvsa. I am glad he's no longer in pain. My condolences to you guys.

Dear Jonathan,

We had our own idea of grief. We thought it was the sad time that followed the death of someone you loved & we had to push through it to get to the other side. We are learning that there is no other side. There is no pushing through anything, but rather, an absorption. Adjustment & acceptance. Grief is not something you complete, but rather endure. Grief is not a task to finish & move on, but an element of yourself, an alteration of your being, a new way of seeing & a new defination of self! We love & miss you!

Mom & Dad

P.S. We could not list everyone that was always there for us through this horrific time. Thank you, you helped us more than we could ever let you know! HUGS!"

Prayers for Jonathan and Bigbore577 family

I talk to Yvsa every week. He still argues some points of discussion. :)

As I've aged, after the shock of loss of a cherished one, I've worked out a sense of wonderment at the joy of having had that person as a gift--wholly undeserved--from life. How special they were and what a part of me and my thinking they had become.

They remain as a part of me.

I feel blessed.

Hey Kismet?

How you doin'

Howard, thanks for this thread.

Smoke up for those Great Guys who have walked west.

We remember.

Mike

Hey Ad, How YOU doin?

HD! Long time no "see." Do you still have the online "Shack?" I lost the bookmark.

I am sure goats, music and the good life are taking most of your retirement time - hopefully getting in some concerts!

And I'd bet you're in touch with Kis or Nasty or some of them. PM me if you'd like; we can raise a virtual toast to some very fine people, now sitting around another campfire.

I took a khuk hiking the other day; first time in a while. I've found a pruning shear (don't laugh!) clears pricker vines and branches faster.

Think I hit 13 years alcohol-free earlier this year. Strong magic in the kami's steel! And in the forum's collective strength. Nothing seems to have changed.

Best, Mike

No where are Kismet and Nasty?
