removing blade finish

Excuse me if this question has been asked before.
I am starting a project to redo a BM 975 and need to remove the BlacK-Ti blade coat, other than by sanding, is there a way to chemically remove the finish or to bead blast it off? any suggestions appreciated.

Not sure about any chemical bath but bead blasting or Scotchbrite pads work well.
