I like the ZT0302 but the blade has tiger stripes which I do not like. Has anyone ever removed tiger stripes from a knife? if so how?

Wouldn't take long if you bead blast the blade. Then it would need the edge touched up afterwards because blasting it will dull the edge.

If you duct tape the edge, you will save it. Just be very carefull to tape the edge only. I cut the tape down the middle so it not a lot of tape hanging off the blade.

I waved it and blasted it, while keeping the Spydie edge. I also taped the pivot off, so the action was not mucked up from the blasting. I also taped under the clip before I blasted it. This way it would not drag on your pocket going in and out.

I need another Yojimbo to cut up.............:D

Tad gear has non striped ZT 302s for about the same price as a regular one. Furthermore, those special editions were hand ground and sharpened by Tim Galyean himself. No bead blasting needed if they still have stock. They are called ZT 0300 on the site.
