Replacement 15 inch AK Arrived

My new AK arrived today to replace the defective one that didn't survive Art's repair. I am of course very pleased with it. The blade is better in fit and finish than the one I had. The only real flaw I can find is a chunk busted out of the horn handle back by the butt cap. This doesn't bother me, since this is going to be a user, and the other one was blem.

The kami's mark is a moon shape. I don't know anything about that.

I'll post again later when I have used it.
 
If you have trouble with this one we are all in trouble. My guess is maybe shipping damage. We don't ship a chipped handle. It goes into the blem box.
 
No trouble, Uncle Bill. I did some preliminary chopping last night and it did fine. The chunk out of the handle isn't bothering me. I don't think it's going anywhere.

I am very pleased with this blade. Bura does beautiful work. I can definitely tell the difference in fit and finish. This blade also seems to be a little heavier than the other was, which I like.

From all indications, me and this one are going to get along fine. Thanks again.
