what do the colors of the boxes represent next to the threads that you got rated on mean?

I am referring to the user cp...where I have numerous threads with colored boxes to the left and a points total to the upper right.

also, how did they do that?

could someone elaborate on this feature of the forums?

I am an unknown quantitiy :(

It's a new feature here at Bladeforums (though some other websites have been using it) and not many of the members here are rating posts. "Unknown quantity" just means you haven't gotten many ratings. Maybe you never will; the feature doesn't seem to be catching on....

thank you

i see a few members with over 2000 posts and are not rated yet...so I guess you are correct

Did we lose the ability to turn this feature off? That feature seems to be gone from the Edit Options area.
I have the same question.

I'm with Keith and Enkidu - where can we turn this off or on...

And anopther question is what does the little triangle next to the scales mean??? Something about reporting a bad post? I didn't see either of these in any FAQ... did I miss one?

We've always had a "report this post" button; it just looks a little different now. That sends a message to the forum moderators -- please click it if you see any spam or trolling.

I don't know what the story is on making your rating invisible, though.

I wish the whole reputation level option would disappear all together. I mean c'mon, what does it really do except blow up some people's already overblown ego?

I would have to agree. Doesn't really seem much point to it.

Then again, it's easy to ignore.

Of course, the reputation thingy also lets sniviling cowards insult you behind a wall of anonymity. But then, that's what the internet is for, right?
