I was wondering if anyone has the CRKT Grant Hawk DOG lock folder.I handled one of the custom prototypes a few yrs.ago at A.G.s table in the N.Y.show.I was impressed with the lock(very similar to the Gerber bolt action)but the blade opening was'nt as smooth as I thought a custom should be.I did like the overall design of the folder.Did anyone get the factory made one?

My friend recently bought this knife at the last gun/knife show. I must say that I like the knife very much. Extremely sturdy, smooth opening and the lock is easy enough to use and seems reliable (haven't tested it). The only reason that I did not buy one for myself was that the guy only had one other one and it was serrated so I let her have it. My only concern is the clip. It's a strangely short clip and I'm curious to see how well it works (I didn't try clipping it to my pocket). It even came with an extra set of scales just in case you don't like the ones that are already on there (not much different in looks, though). Hope that helps.
