Just got back from the show. I was lucky enough to get in early and headed over to the Emerson booth, expecting to be first in line, which I would have been if not for Tamishigiri[ who must have slept there] and Jay and Karen from AZCK. There were no new "customs". However Ernie had made some Commanders with hand ground damascus blades. These knives have the Emerson production logo, not the Specwar logo. I think the price was $450.00. Jay and Karen were thinking of buying some. If they do the price will obviously be higher. As usual lots of hard core, nice Emerson fanatics around to talk to. I tried to buy a CQC 5 from one of them and got laughed at. Ernie said he is working at filling back orders, but is really busy filling government production orders. I hope to have lunch with Ernie and Mary in the next couple of weeks and will let everybody know of any news.

Had a great time seeing all the Emersonians from the WEST COAST Chapter of Usual Suspects.

It was a pleasure to see you again BladeLaw
and see your superb specimens of Custom Emerson's. Bladelaw has some of the most tactically elegant specimens I have seen to date.

It was fun to go through his Treasure Box and really enjoyed fondling those beautiful
pieces.

Ernie was absolutely swamped w/ old friends, admirerers as well as neophytes.
I was lucky if I could get one minute of solid dialogue w/o him being interupted or distracted.

Got to see the NASA Knife. Definetly a special purpose application but equally effective for utility purposes.
The main feature for those that hav'nt seen it is it has a Notch w/ edge on primary point that is used for inserting into plastic food pouches to zip cut them for better access. Otherwise it's basically a Tanto SpecWar.

The new Green Handle/Hard Chrome looks very attractive and it was seen in Tanto, Commander, Spear Point, Mach 1 configurations. Should sell real well.

The Damascus Custom Production as Bladelaw elaborated on were really nice looking and should do well too.

There was a new I&I Sports comissioned knife that will do well too.
It is a Blk T 4" Tanto secondary Bevel
w/ a unique handle that I hav'nt seen for some time.

It is a close copy of a few Prototypes he made some years back that had a elongated slot adn G-10 scales. The end of the handles are rounded and symetrical. Similar to the Customs that Arkhamdrifter now owns.
This knife lends itself well to a MA practioner and will be a good seller for I & I Sports.

I almost forgot, ther were some really sweet MOP Damascus CQC6's and Viper/CQC6 Hybrids that were exquisite. They were awesome pieces. Gary Shaw picked up a couple.
Thanks to all I enjoyed my time w/ you

Tamishigiri: The pleasure was mine. The knives you brought were completely awesome! Each one was something special, especially the Rhino. I was really impressed with the fixed blades. Until you pick one up and feel how solid and well balanced they are you just can't appreciate how good they are. They are definitely confidence inspiring.Until next time, Bladelaw.

Surprised and disappointed that no customs were brought, just the production pieces. Maybe this portends more orders getting filled. The new prodo folder sounds interesting; I&I staff still don't know when they'll see it.

Thanks to Bladelaw and Tamishigiri for the reports!

Thanks for the report guys. $2,000. for a MOP CQC6 & Viper/CQC6, that's cheap. Did they sell? I figure they would have been gone in a heart beat.
