I will be doing this soon. Let me know if you have any specific tests or aspects of this knife you want me to look at.

I will consider all opinions carefully and honestly.

I´m especially interested in the price to performance ratio of that knife compared to others in its class, as I recall it to be quite expensive. Thanks for asking, I´m looking forward to your review.

I must admit, I have seen this knife typically in the $400 price range. However it seems to represent on paper a good knife made from a great steel (154). The Rc rating is 60-62. I wanted to look at this knife as it does seem a pricey beast when you look at what else is available in that range, specifically the Busse range (for less even!).

My impression from what I have seen is that this is a collectors knife in a presentation box, a knife made to a very high standard. I will not over emphasise this however. I will look at its working ability. I buy a knife to work, not sit on the shelf and do nothing all day. Would I use such a knife as a camp blade? I will let you all know when I get my mitts on one.

Another thing, it will be a bit more interesting than another, Spyderco,Benchmade or Talonite review!

I think Puma is often overlooked by this group. I do not know why, their products are very well made and quality control is excellent. Maybe it is the average steel in most of their cheaper blades, opinions?

I like Puma's too. The stag-handled fixed blades are great users and collectors; the carbon steel Original Bowie is my favorite.

Puma had some ugly years, around the early to mid-nineties. They were putting out a bunch of low-end stuff that the QC was miserable with: the Huntec II, and some of the Zytel-handled stuff tended to fall apart. Still, the stag-handled stuff was the mainstay of the line.

I look forward to your review. I've yet to get a Cougar for my collection, but know that when I do, I'll be tempted to use it too.

I will be recieving it with luck in the next week. Give it two weeks for testing and my exams... and I will publish my findings. They will be only my opinions and thoughts with some facts from Puma so I hope I don`t start a fight with whatever I say! This will be my second review on Bladeforums, so feel free to let me know how technical etc you would like it to be.
