I have a bowie called a RHR Grand. I want to know more about it if anyone knows about them. It's an awsome knife, very functionable. I bought it at a gun show in Oregon for $300.00. I would appreciate all the information that I can get on this knife because it's my favorite in my collection.
Also I have a custom fighter by GRECO. Can anyone tell me who this is?
Thanks for your help.

I can't help with the bowie. But the fighter I feel sure was made by John Greco. His new address is 100 Mattie Jones road; Greensburg KY 42743. Phone 502-932-3335. There was a good profile article on him in one of the knife magazines this year. I do not rememember the issue. John has been around making heavy duty knives for a long time. Give him a call.

Cheers,

Thr RH Grand Bowie was made by the grandson of R.H. Ruana. who apparently worked a while for Rudy then for whatever reason did not stay with Victor Hangas. I do not know how active he is at this time.I have tried to get info from him but he did not respond.
Maybe someone else can fill in the gaps.

That was a big help on the Greco.
Also on the RHR Grand. I still want to know more about this knife.

Tazman, Like Knifeslinger stated, the knife was made by the grandson of the late Rudy Ruana, who was one of the first of the custom makers, like Scagel and Bo Randall, to make a name for themselves. I met the boy at a show in Pasadena about 8-9 years ago, and wrote an article on him and his knives. It wasn't until some years later that I discovered Hangas (one of the family) was still produing the knives Rudy made. Family politics there. Greco is John Greco, and you have his address. His knives are solid, nothing glamourous about them. Just working pieces.

BUD LANG:
Thanks for the info. Do you have the address? I would like to find out more and even buy another one.
