I'm a happy camper because I just acquired this dagger made by Rick Eaton. Rick made this knife in the early 90's and it sports a beautifully fluted ivory handle, silver wire inlay in the flutes and engraved with an inlayed gold goblin in the guard.

The blade length is almost 17" and overall 23.5". The blade is 440C stainless steel and guard and skull crusher pommel 416 stainless steel. Blade thickness is 5/16" thick and it is hollow ground.

The first picture is from Rick's website.

Rick informed me that this is the largest knife he ever made and certainly one of his favorites. I will speak Rick in Milan coming week about possibly engraving the ferrule and pommel.

I'd hazard a guess that the bronze age never saw so spectacular a dagger as that. Wow!

I love how the back of the grind dead ends abruptly into the guard. Don't see that very often. Very sharp and eye catching.

that looks like it is a very special knife. What amazing work.

You may have seen this picture of my Eaton folding dagger

I've seen it before and it keeps being one great looking dagger:thumbup::thumbup:

Not a piece that I find the least bit appealing, but it is an amazing example of the knifemaking art.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....luckily we all have different tastes :D .
Keith, although I like a Bowie and your S-guard Andrews I do like even more:) but would I buy it.......I'm not sure. Not of lack of quality of the maker or the knife of course but just my taste in knives.

I bought it from a fellow collector from California which whom I had earlier "dealings" with.
