I know alot of his movies were kinda chick fliks but I always liked the guy.

Gotta admit, filming an entire season of "The Beast" while going through chemo, the man was a major badass!

Godspeed!

Bless him and his family. It is a shame.

Roadhouse was a kick ass (no pun intended) movie!

Just got home from cub scout meeting, I did not even know he died....I still love roadhouse and point break

That is unfortunate. He really did seem like a great guy. He is badass for filming a show and going through chemo. My grandfather, though much older than Patrick, nearly died from the Chemo itself. Sucks that cancer is so wide spread. I lost my uncle who was 39 and grandfather who was 79 or so to cancer. A friend of my parents had breast cancer recently and had to have a double mastectomy 5 months ago or so. Hell my dog might have had cancer, a tumor of some sort anyway, in her nose and eventually died from complications from that. Can only hope I don't get it and that no body else has to go through it themselves or have a loved one go through it.

Very sad and my prayers go to his family. Although I never knew him, he did seem like a different sort of actor. Not pretentious or haughty.

ive been gettin calls all night, because two days ago i told a bunch of people i thought he would die soon......now they all think i should start a psychic hotline or something.

R.I.P vida boheme

Felt like i grew up with his movies in the 80s. Outsiders and all that. My fave was Uncommon Valor, though he was just supporting Gene Hackman in that one.

Fine I'll be the girl in the room... ;) I looooved him in Dirty Dancing!!! "No one puts baby in the corner." Come on, that was classic. I liked the other movies too, so :P My thoughts are with his family.

He had so many movies that were just fun to watch, "Red Dawn" and "Roadhouse" never get old!!!!

I also get a kick out of "Next of Kin", which is not one of his best, but I have family that I would swear they followed around to get ideas for his Appalachian kin!! :D

Whoa - I had forgotten all about "Red Dawn." That's one of my favorite movies ever.

RIP Swayze. He was a good actor and seemed to be a decent guy. Major props for his work ethic and spirit, filming a tv show while suffering chemo. I lost an aunt to cancer and know how terrible the process can be.

Seemed like a good guy...kept his opinions to himself, lived a grounded life to the fullest and didn't fall into the Hollywood circus.

I just lost my Brother in Law last month to a heart attack at age 53:(
57 (Patrick Swayze isn't that old either is 50 (Micheal Jackson) this tells me
enjoy life to the fullest you don't know how long your here

RIP Patrick Swayze
