Hello everyone - - I have a little lockback folder that I got quite a few years ago from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. I can't remember if it was a premium for signing up (I've been a member for several years now) or renewing membership or what. Its sat in my desk till I came across it tucked way in the back of a drawer one day. I spent a few minutes on it with my Sharpmaker and got it nice and sharp. It locks up solid with a nice satisfying "click". - - Closed length is about 3 1/8", blade is 2 1/4" drop point. Handles are black & smooth, some kinda plastic. Blade is etched with an elk and "Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation" on it. Tang is marked Remington and Made in USA, but I understand the older knives were made by Camillus ? - - Has anyone come across this kind of knife before ? Did Camillus do a lot of Remington marked knives for various sporting organizations ? Anybody know what model of knife this might be ? (sorry, my digital camera isn't working for some pics) What kind of steel is it likely to have ? - - Its a nice handy little knife for carrying in my jeans watch pocket. All the best, - - -
