Hello everyone - - I have a little lockback folder that I got quite a few years ago from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. I can't remember if it was a premium for signing up (I've been a member for several years now) or renewing membership or what. Its sat in my desk till I came across it tucked way in the back of a drawer one day. I spent a few minutes on it with my Sharpmaker and got it nice and sharp. It locks up solid with a nice satisfying "click". - - Closed length is about 3 1/8", blade is 2 1/4" drop point. Handles are black & smooth, some kinda plastic. Blade is etched with an elk and "Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation" on it. Tang is marked Remington and Made in USA, but I understand the older knives were made by Camillus ? - - Has anyone come across this kind of knife before ? Did Camillus do a lot of Remington marked knives for various sporting organizations ? Anybody know what model of knife this might be ? (sorry, my digital camera isn't working for some pics) What kind of steel is it likely to have ? - - Its a nice handy little knife for carrying in my jeans watch pocket. All the best, - - -

Pointshoot I have the same little knife in my safe if memory serves me it came as gift for renewal not sure of the year, also Camillus did do knives for remington as for this one some of the more experienced Camillus guys will be along and could shed more light thanks.

Thanks for your reply - - the handle on mine is a little scuffed up. (Don't know how that happened since I didn't use it much.) As I mentioned, I sharpened it up and have been carrying it in the watch pocket of my jeans lately. Regards, - - -

Hi there I tried to email you a question about your knife but it said your control panel settings weren't set up to receive email. (Turns out mine was the same way so I changed it to get email now.) If you'd email me through this site I'd appreciate it. Thanks & best regards, - -
P.S. - - I'd post the question directly in this thread but don't know if I'd be breaking the rules & don't want to do that. - -
