I used to have one. Theres another one I kick myself for swapping.
Does anyone have any?I bought one early on at Stoddards and thought they were the neatest thing.Unlock it pull it back and it snapped into the handle.
Mine was in Cocobola. I liked how the handles were applied with machine screws.
Someone else made them after them I think. Can't remember who.

Mine is a Benchmark made with synthetic scales. They were made with a wide variety of scale materials including stag, various micartas, wood, etc and also in a couple of different sizes. CRKT recently did a version of it and the sold at a closeout price of 8 bucks...I bought several and they are great little knives, especially for 8 bucks!

Steve, I think this may be a better fit in the "General Knife Discussion".

I used to own a Benchmark Rolox Stag just like the one in the pic below. I think I paid something like 70-75 bucks for it in the early 80's. Great knife, wish I still had it since they bring a real premium price now. Unfortunately, mine grew legs and walked away several years ago. (there is currently one on ebay for a "buy it now" price of $350 bucks)

Rolox.

Not a knife company, but a knife model. First made by Gerber/Benchmark, more recently made by Columbia River. They may be discontinued again - don't see them at SMKW.

Here's one of the earlier versions:

That's just like the one I had Bob, I can't remember if it had the shield, I think it might have only further toward the blade. It was a Benchmark and the blade had a top swedge in it. I always remember the top swedge had a blue burn mark in it from the manufacturer. It was a neat knife to play with.
