Interested in these knives, wondering has anyone had any experience with them? Here's a link and a few example photos:

I picked one up at Blade a few years ago and love it. Sorry, I don't know the model, but CWL gave you good info. They really go against the current "you can't possibly ever break me no matter what but, gosh, I'm sorry I weigh so much you'll never carry me" model. I'm not that hard on my knives, but this thing really makes you wonder if there's actually any need for knives to be so thick/heavy. And the prices are great for what you get (at least mine was).

We just updated our web-site: russianknives.com, have a special deal in Feb 2012.

Also if you have any questions about our knives, design, shipping, warranty, etc please feel free to call us anytime!

I searched for Russian knives on EBay. Found one I liked. Pulled up the description.........made in China!!

I would tend to believe the actual distributor/maker of the item than some random ebay seller. They are probably selling some copy, didn't know, or are selling a completely different knife.

There is just one company which imports Russian-style knives from China into Russia that I am aware of. There are very many Russian manufacturers and the internal competition is very strong. So they are not making much progress so far. Would not be surprised if they try to sell their goods everywhere else marketing them as Russian. I do not remember exactly. It is probably something like "Vityaz" or similar nondescript.

I am interested in obtaining a knife from Russia. There are several ROSarms models that look interesting, and the pricing in quite tempting.

What other companies are out there? Specifically Russian makers with traditional styles / natural materials, not too expensive, and available from US dealers?

I handled two ROSSarms knives in a passaround. Great knives. Click on "My Knife Reviews" in my signature for the details.
