So if i understand (i'm new) correctly, this is not a RAT Cutlery knife and no guarentee is going to come with it? Can someone clear this up as I'm interested in one of these knives but not sure what i'm getting into!

RAT will not cover it in their warranty because they didn't make the knife.
Ontario made it, ontario should but will not always(depends) cover it.
If you want real RAT and the RAT warranty you have to buy RAT Cutlery.

Ontario made the RTAK 11 under license for Rat . Rowen now makes the RC product line. I wouldn't buy an Ontario knife( business ethics as the reason) but since RC doesn't manufacture the RTAK yet, then Ontario is the only way to get one. I have an RTAK 11 and the warranty is one thing I wouldn't worry about on it.It is hard to destroy that sucker. It's one heavy duty knife. It is a good choice except for the ethics issue in regards to RC's and Ontario's trademark issues.
Best of luck on your decision
