This family-owned Montana company made me a honey of a custom bowie! The blade and fittings are carbon steel and the handle is black micarta. I haven't torture tested it, but it definitely feels like a part of my hand in any grip I choose. It sharpens fast and holds a scary sharp edge through much use.
