i have a few knives of alaska blades in bead blasted d2 they are starting to stain i use them for butchering deer what would be the best preservative to whipe them down with

There are tons of threads regarding this , try the Search function and you'll have hours of reading , the bottom line though is you have to make your mind up for yourself as to which will work best for you.

I wonder if the beads were contaminated. If you use beads for both stainless and carbon steels ,bits of carbon steel will be imbedded into the stainless. They will rust and the rusting continue into the stainless. ...If you're talking about just minor stain rather than rust I wouldn't worry about it .Just clean the knife immediately after use .
