Last week I sent my Bob Dozier Arkansas toothpick to Eric Noeldechen of On/Scene Tactical in Ontario, Canada for a custom Concealex sheath. I thought I'd do a quick review.
Firstly, Eric was a pleasure to deal with from the get go. I had plenty of contact with him throughout through telephone, e-mail and ICQ. He answered all of my questions, and asked plenty of me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. This was one smooooth business transaction! On to the sheath.
Actually, I should have said sheaths. When it became apparent that all the carry options I wanted weren't going to fit in one sheath, he made me two (at no extra cost)!
The first sheath is black concealex, set up for right-hand IWB carry. The sheath is very well constructed, with a removable j-hook belt clip attached with chicago screws. The knife shows no sign of rattle. Retention is tight, but not so tight that it is difficult to draw the knife. The sheath also has a drain hole.
The second sheath is also black concealex, and of the same impeccable quality as the first. This one has a removable belt loop that accomodates standard belt carry at a variety of angles (horizontal, vertical, tilted). It also has holes drilled for neck carry.
Any knives I have that need sheathing in the future will be going straight to Eric at OS/T. His sheaths are extremely high quality and an excellent value. See them at www.mnsi.net/~nbtnoel
