s30v Vanguard?

I'm really wanting one of these, but not with the black blade or the Cabelas logo. Anyone know if these could be stripped off or if I could just get a plain vanguard in s30v somewhere?

Well a little google searching turned up that I could use a razor blade to scrape off the Cabelas logo and then a bit of metal polish to remove the shadow left over afterwards. Looks like the blade coating is pretty much on to stay from what I've found so far. I think I could live with the coating, but really didn't want the logo.

As far as other knives go......seems to me Buck had a web special a while back in ATS-34.

You might call the number on the website and see if they might be offering it again in the future.

Here is another 192 that you may have to hunt hard for. But, they are out there. A BG42 Master Series vanguard is sweet.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be calling Buck tomorrow. I'll also be searching some for the bg42 version.
