EDC: LM Wave, SAK Cybertool 29, SAK Manager. SAK Manger for the super light duty stuff, LMWave for the medium+heavy duty stuff, and the Cybertool for the computer stuff.

Well I tend to carry a Wenger STD Issue in my pocket with a Leatherman Wave on my belt.......not to mention the a Wenger MicroLight Pocket tool chest on my key chain.

I carry a spartan and a leatherman supertool... A combo that works well! Especially if you break a thumb nail (ouch.) You can still open your tools on the leatherman (use the sak screw driver to open the leatherman...)

On the weekend, I sometimes carry a scissors-based minitool (LM Micra/Squirt S4) paired up with one of the thinner SAKs. This makes a great combo - minitool for strong scissors and dedicated screwdrivers, SAK for larger blade.

The Victorinox Locksmith and Leatherman Minitool complement each other magnificently. I also carry a SOG Crosscut to round out the set.

I've been carrying a SAK and multi-tool pair for a loooong time. :)

My current set is a Victorinox SwissChamp XLT and a SOG PowerLock, but I have a Victorinox CyberTool 41 on order to replace the SwissChamp.

Mine changes every now and then:
Went from LM Wave/Vnox Recruit, to LM ST200/Vnox Recruit after breaking the Wave, and LM ST200/Vnox Electrician Plus after losing a Recruit (I have another, but wanted something new), to SK Facom Universal Pliers/Vnox Electrician Plus, since the pliers/cutters on the SKs are better than my ST200's, and the SAK has the saw and flathead, which were the tools I used frequently, and almost exclusively on the ST200.
That's for work.
For EDC I carry my remaining Recruit, or a Vnox Mechanic, while the LM ST200 and a LM Micra ride in a Maxpedition Fatboy that I carry all my stuff around in.
Missing the Phillip's head/can opener blade, but finding the saw on the Electrician + much handier than expected, I've got a Hiker (basically a Tinker+saw) on the way. I think that I'll end up with a couple of these, and that they will get carried for work, EDC, and outdoor actvivities, pretty much everything, as my Recruits used to.
Somehow missed seeing the Hiker's tool arrangement before, or I would have had one a long time ago. It's "just what I've been looking for":)

Seems to change every week or so, but mostly I carry a Victorinox Midnite MiniChamp II in my left front jeans pocket next to my Princeton Tec Blast, and my brand-new Spyderco Jester is in the watch pocket of my jeans. I have my Vic CyberTool 41 on my belt. I swap that out with my Leatherman Wave or Vic SwissTool R/S depending on my mood.

SAK Cybertool 41 paried with a Leatherman CRUNCH.
All the small tools I need plus pliers strong enough to handle things the SAK pliers cannot. (And the SAK pliers for the precision that the Crunch lacks).
These both fit together in my benchmade sheath that a forum member so graciously referred me to. :D

Victorinox Explorer in a belt pouch, LM Squirt with attached Photon microlight in my pocket, and a LM Wave in constant motion between my workbench, car and briefcase, depending on the situation.

I've enjoyed this thread. It reminds me once again that forumites are some seriously well-outfitted people. We do spend a lot of time thinking about these things, and for good reason. It really ticks me off when I need something, or someone asks me for something, and I don't have it. Plus, we can't anticipate what emergencies might happen.

That irritates me, too. Especially on a trip, when a family member asks for something I did not bring along. Then they tease me about being unprepared -- because they know it drives me crazy. :) My inability to anticipate all scenarios vexes me, but I'm only human.

I'll play too.

I'm very happy with my Victorinox Cybertool and Leatherman Super-Tool. They are accompanied by a Classic and a Micra that serve as a compact backups. It's a redundant setup in all the right places and works really well for me. For some reason I always find that I often need two different sized screwdrivers at the same time or a pair of pliers and a small blade at the same time, etc.

I toss in a Dodo and usually another knife (thinking about a Cricket) to complete the ensemble and it covers all my bases without taking up too much pocket room.

hi all, this is my first post here.

i just received my sak compact newly equipped with dark wood scales for edc and use my spirit for rather heavy duty.

i especially like the "gentleman touch" it now has (well, for me at least) and readily offer help on any occasion it comes handy ...

Im not sure if this counts or not. I carry a SAK, a Spartan-Lite much of the time, or maybe a Climber. On my Keys I also carry a Swiss-Tech Plus, the one that has 2 sizes each of the plain and phillips screwdrivers. Mainly it is for those times when I need to use the screwdrivers for very tough jobs and dont want to risk damaging my SAK. Also the little pliers come in handy if I need to hold a nut while using the SAK on the screw.

Of course it counts. I'm a Swiss Army and Swiss Tech nut. I carry a Victorinox Midnite MiniChamp II, the SwissTech Micro-Plus, and the Micro Plus XL. I sometimes also carry a Vic Executive and the Vic Alox Cadet.

Since this thread was last seen I have changed to:

SOG PowerLock (Customized the tools, and added a chisel blade).
(One hand pliers, compound leverage)
_and_
SAK Farmer (To pull out when I don't need the big tool)

I still keep the SAK Cybertool 41 and Crunch on deck, it's just a bit of overkill for my recent needs. (and I like the larger wire cutters on the SOG).
