Blade is 10 1/2 inches of flat ground 5160 with a ferric chloride wash for a slightly antique look. Handle is desert iron wood scales on a tapered tang with three SS pins. Over all length is 15 3/4 inches. Sheath is 8/9 oz leather with acid etched and aged mild steel throat and tip. This is not intended to be a copy or replica of the origonal sandbar knife just simply my rendition of it. If this knife won't do your out door chopping chores nothing will.

I'm in love with this knife. What is the spine thickness, and is there a distal taper to the blade?

Thanks all, The spine thickness is slightly under 1/4 inch and yes is has a distal tapper and a tappered tang.
