mrbear wanted me to make his SaR design contest entry for him. Finished it up this morning, in black canvas micarta.

Yes it is, all hand filed. There is also a 3/16" hole drilled in the end of the handle for a firesteel.

Nicely done! I re-read his design and it looks like you did an excellent job adding all of the options that were detailed and yet you can still tell it's a JK knife.

That looks awesome John, musta took ya forever doing the handfiling eh !!!

I think I'd prefer it without the firesteel notch but it's a great looking design and should be a great all round blade.....very cool !!!!

That is one intense piece of kit! I'm not a big fan of sawbacked knives, but I'm hoping we will get to see a review of John's hand-filed saw
