First let me say that I just traded for a Howlin' Rat. It's a great knife! So far I've only used it around the kitchen. I really like the balance and handle. Allows the knife to cut like one much larger.
I have always liked the Busse Satin Jack except for the 1/4 inch thickness. I use knives for slicing not chopping. The SJ would be a perfect mid size knife if it was thinner.
Any chance of a Satin Rat in the near future in 3/16 101? I think the grooved micarta scales on the Satin Jack are the best scales I've ever used but based on the Howlin' Rat I'm sure a SRK "rubber" handle will work as well, maybe better.
