Scagel by Northwoods Knives, #6 Combo Fixed Blade & Folder, Stag Handle, Ltd. Edition
Scagel #6 reproduction by Northwoods Knives. Northwoods owned the Scagel trademark (name and Kris logo) and this is an authentic, legal use of the name on a very high quality bit of Americana. This unique piece is Number 6 in the Northwoods series of Scagel-branded reproductions of William Scagel's original designs. According to Northwoods late chief Dave Shirley "This is our best Scagel to date... 1095 steel, Sambar stag handles, steel liners, {copied from} one of 14 or 15 known to exist. Great handmade box by Dave Samolis. Two hundred knives (or less than that) will be made." 8-3/4 " overall. Features traditional 1095 Carbon steel for 4 3/4 " fixed main blade, and 2-3/4 " folding blade. The grind is beautiful, and the handles are hand-assembled with Genuine Sambar Stag handles. Weighs 6.0 oz. Proudly made in the USA. Limited production of less than 200 pieces, and sure to be one of the most sought-after pieces in the series. Comes packaged with a fine genuine Leather hand-stitched sheath. Don't hesitate on this one!
