Purchased new, don't remember exactly when, maybe 2004 or 2005
Great knife, EDC for a while, not as often now
Just purchased two more Kershshaws, a Leek and a Needs Work

My question is:

What steel was used on this model 1620, at time of manufacture?

Hey thanks for this info, I just pulled my 1620 (born sept 2004) out of storage and was wondering the same thing.
