Grant - Absolutely no 84OT was ever made. Sometimes the 3 looks like an 8 and it gets listed wrong. Likely an "84OT" ends up being sold by an old man that does not own a magnifying glass...
Here is a link to a fairly comprehensive list of all of the Old Timers made by Schrade USA. Thanks Dale Vincent and LRV!
Thanks for the reply thawk .I keep getting in trouble with seller because they will not believe me.I keep checking the list to see if certain knives exist.I noticed they don't show a 70t on the Schrade Old Timer Models list.
the 7 OT was first made in 1979 - 1980. the handle had 4 pins like the corresponding LB-7. production stopped and then resumed in 1991 with 3 pins in handle and a carbon steel blade. this lasted til i believe 1993 where the blade changed to stainless. it stayed this way in the price lists til the end, 2004. the stamping indicated when the type of steel changed they added a + after Schrade on the blade.
