I'm checking in from the library at the University of Arkansas today, guys.

Up here with a large group of Scouts attending Scouting University.

Pretty neat program....I would have gladly participated when I was in college way back when...:D

Basically, college students, local professionals and sometimes leaders volunteer a day's worth of their time to run seminars for Scouts - to earn merit badges.

Whether scouting is your bag or not....it's hard to not appreciate seeing so many young adults and youth together sharing knowledge and tactics.

From First Aid to Sports to Graphic Arts and Citizenship.

Just thought I'd share. :D

I'm here all day....wanted to sneak in and say "HEY" - in case anybody needs supervising. :D  :p

The weather here today is incredible....bright sunny blue sky, high of 65....couldn't ask for a nicer winter-is-not-quite-over-yet day.

Dang. That sounds like a blast. I'd have loved that as a scout.

Had a great time....did a TON of hiking!!!

Forgot what it's like to be a college student....up-n-down campus all day long. :foot:

Yeah I had that too. We call it Merit Badge College over here in the east. It definately made my life much easier. Especially for Eagle required badges such as the Citizenship's.

I felt sorry for the kids in the Citizenship classes....they were long hot lectures....the kind only college students should be subjected to....

I got all three done in three sessions so it was still worth it. besides it preps me for how college will likely be!
