From time to time here, we discuss the dilemma presented by carrying a traditional, knife-only slippie. If having a screwdriver or two, bottle opener, etc. is important to you, do you also carry a SAK or multi tool? Or maybe you carry a Craftsman 4-way keychain screwdriver and a P-38 ala jackknife's dad.

I just stumbled across a pretty nifty looking compact keychain tool with a philips and regular screwdriver bits, plus a bottle opener (which is important for those of us who like a cold one from time to time :D especially in Europe, where 99.9% of bottled beer comes with a pry-top lid). It's called the Screwpop and it goes for $4.95 with another $3.50 for U.S. shipping. Anyone have one of these? I'm mighty intrigued.

I bought 2 of them for the very reason you mention, they work great both as a screwdriver and for opening guinness.

I'd try one of those!

I've been getting away from carrying a sak and going back to old carbon steel pocket knives. So the keychain tools interest me.

I carry a tiny Victorinox screwdriver tool from the Quattro Swisscard. It's about the size of a nickel and weighs nothing. It's on my keys and I hardly give it a second thought until a screw needs tightening or loosening somewhere. You can get one for 3 bucks on the familiar auction site. I think it's a great little companion...

That Quattro bit looks pretty cool too. But I already ordered my Screwpop. :)

It looks like it might be easy for the bit to get knocked out. I carry a bottle opener from Paragon Machine Works on my keychain even though I usually just pull the caps off with my hand. I sometimes worry about not having screwdrivers on me, but I'm not often too far from a real one.

Good idea to get a key chain screwdriver tool.
I only carry a SAK in my pants because I want screwdrivers and don't have any pockets left for another knife without it scratching.

The Screwpop seems a bit to large and it's a shame the ball bearing isn't in the handle so it could use universal bits.
