I was just reading about Swiss Divers Watches and they have an oil based liquid inside the watch and they are water resistant to 12000 meters! You read it right, has anyone heard or seen these or bought one? They are nice looking watches and it says they use the same principal as sea creatures like starfish, they have a liquid inside with a small bubble and the liquid equalizes the pressure. Now I was thinking why would you have to worry about the watch leaking when it is already filled with an oil water mix. If anyone has one of these lets hear how you like it.:)

There are 3 of these types of extreme depth watches that i know of, however, i dont recall the name of one of them. The other 2 are the Sinn EZM2, filled with a silicon liquid, and the Hyper-Bar watches, also with the internal liquid. While it may seem cool to have such a high depth rating, its of little practical use since your body would probably implode long before the watch. I had the EZM2 and it was cool, but i now wear an EZM3, much better watch, and it ONLY goes down 500m. Should work nicely in my shower. :)

I'm not a skindiver, and not even much of a swimmer. If the watch is at 10m, either I dropped it or I'm dead and in either case it don't make much difference if it's still running :D

The SDW watches are exactly that, they are called Hyper Bar. Ok thanks for the info on the Sinn also. I guess they must be good for deep diving.
