First May God rest the souls of those who have given up their lives for Our freedom and those who lost their lives 9-11-01.Here are some pictures of SEAL TEAM SIX's Prototype Buckmasters. KNOWN at the time as " Survival Knife " All were hand made by Bob MacDonald and his son Rick MacDonald of PHROBIS LTD. These knifes were heat treated by Paul Bos. They are First Generation BuckMaster prototypes and this set was made at the request of at the time(1983) by the Ultra Covert SEAL TEAM SIX. I have detailed pictures and stories in my BuckMaster Book.

Yes, as an ex-sailor, I can say that a Navy SEAL is one special kind of idiot; the loyal, tough, fearless, wonderful kind that make you glad they're on our side.

I thought I would explain a few things on this knife set. These blades are differant sizes at the request of SEAL TEAM SIX. The whole concept was have a modular system so you can swap out what you need for this or that Mission application. This modular idea went through production for the BuckMaster series into the M9 bayonet. Remember at the time the SEAL's had the antiquated Ka-Bar. Not that the Ka-Bar wasnt good but compared to the BuckMaster (which had many unique features) it was old hat.
