Sebenza 31 Jimping

Fun thought (not sure if everyone knows) but the 21 has 21 "jimps" on the blade.

Does anyone know if the 31 will have 31? If so, I suppose they will have to be closer together to make it fit (maybe more like a coin edge?).

Okay, you got me - I counted... or perhaps you should have. The 21 does not have 21 "jimps".

So how many does yours have? I just recounted and my large sebenzas (2019 build dates) have 21 indents.

My small 21 (DOB 2013) has 14. Maybe it only applies to large Sebenzas.

My small has 15 peaks (16 depressions)
My large has 16 peaks (17 depressions)

Maybe they increased the number each year, and discontinued the model upon reaching 21

I forgot to add, my blade is an Insingo. I don't know if that makes any difference. 13 peaks/14 depressions.

Just counted on a 2019 Large 21 wood inlay damascus...and it is 21!!! Fascinating!
Older Large micarta one, not sure what year right now...17 ...
