Sebenza Disassembly

It's time to take my large, plain (not that any Sebenza could be considered "plain!") Sebenza apart for cleaning. Yes, I live only 20 miles from the CR shop but want to try it myself. I remember several posts on how to do it, and I watched it done at the shop once, but am looking for written instructions on how the shop recommends it be done. Does anyone have that information or remember where it is posted. I tried the search feature but it may be too obscure -- or I'm just too dumb! Thanks

Closest I could find on this forum was this thread..

Some good stuff there.

..D'oh, which is the same one Greg just posted.

"Assembly is in the reverse of disassembly".

Bruce:

I just took apart and cleaned my small Seb.
Very easy to do. Make sure that you have a clear work area. When you take the screws off the knife will not just slide off. You need to pry the scales apart because the tolerances are very tight. My suggestion is to use something that will not scratch the titanium. I made the mistake of not being careful and I scratched the inside scale. Otherwise, just take off the washers remember where they go (only two so it was easy even for a brain challenged person like me) then add a little grease (from Chris I would suggest) and put back together. Tighten the screws and it's done. It's a great feeling to know that you can do it yourself!

For something different, try reversing the screws when you put it back together. Looks kinda cool IMHO.
