Just for fun I was going back and reading all the posts on Sebenza's... My new Sebenza 12/99, has the new cut out under the clip and also the two grooves on the inside of the lock...Is this the newest improvment again? I saw these pictures here.. http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum29/HTML/000012.html and these show the new style (11/99) as having the cut out under the clip but no groove cut outs on the inside...? Just wondering....Thanks all!

By the way the engraving on the inside of mine is...B 99

Keith, you have the latest design, and the one that CRK is apparently going with. Just today Chris stated:
To address the comments on the different type of cut out on the small and large wood inlay Sebenzas. This is something that we tried in order to see if there was any advantage. I did not feel that there was any so we reverted to what we were doing before. Only 60 pieces in each size have been made like that.

So there you have it.

Thanks James,
Again, this is why I love these forums...where else can you ask a question and get the very latest update on the answer or at least some sort of info to help lead you in the right direction...And in most situations less than an hour or so....

Ok, I don't get it anymore. I thought you guys are talking about the cutout under the clip. I see that. I also see the "W" shaped cut out on the lock slab. So which is the modification? Thanks.

Humpty, we are talking about the spring cutout on the Wood Inlay Sebenzas, seen here in a thread started by James Mattis. All will become clear as soon as you see the pics, my friend.

Okay Humpty, let's see if I get it.
As I understand it , yours is the latest.
A new cutout under the clip and the w shaped scallops across the lock inside the handle.
On the wood inlaid for a few models they did not have the scallop, but a groove on the lock inside the handle. They reverted back and are now using what you have.
If I am wrong, then we are both confused.

Thom, you got it right, all 120 of the 1999 Wood Inlays have the "alternate" spring. All futue models will have the original spring and the recess beneth the clip, Wood, decorated, plain, what have you.
