We all know about the "old Sebenzas.
We all know about the "new" Sebenzas.
We have a new "2000 Classic."
I think I just got a "new" Sebenza, but don't know if there is a new-new Sebenza.
Completed 1-20-00 it has a notch or cut-out on the locking slab near the back of the cip, nearest the screw that hold the clip to the slab. The cut-out is about 3/4" in length and maybe .100" deep. I hear talk about a notch at the end of the clip and wonder is this what they are speaking about, or is there a "new-new" Sebenza with a notch under the other end of the clip, furthest from the clip screw?

Probably could just call CRTK on Monday, but you guys are always around and know stuff. Thanks.

I would say that it's a "new new" sebenza. The "old new" sebenzas didn't have that cutout. That cutout was to accomodate the clip, clipping onto jeans pockets where with the "old new" style would cause rips in jeans. This was alleviated by the cutout in the "new new" sebenzas. I myself have a "old new" style small sebenzas as my daily carry and I haven't experienced any problems yet. From what I hear, if you're going to be getting the clip insert, the "old new" without the notch is preferred for a cleaner look.

You guys are alright! In two hours flat CRK support team arrives on-station to assist. Thank you.

What's up with this "Clip Insert?" From what I can see on the accessories photo, it looks like a spacer and longer screw to pad-out or space-out the clip. Am I seeing/thinking correctly, or is there more to it than that?

Nimrod,
The clip insert is to REPLACE the clip.
Fills the cutout in the handle for the times when you don't want the clip, if you carry in a sheath etc. It is strictly for looks and that is it's only use.
