Guys, what is a fair price to pay for a pre-owned Sebenza in good condition? It's large and to my knowledge, plain.

A new large non-decorated Sebenza retails for $325. Depending on condition, It can be worth almost as much. Used Sebenza's are unusual to find and a new one can have a 3 to 5 month wait, to get one. If it is a few years old the steel is ATS-34. Chris began using BG-42 in 1996 or 97 as I recall. If it is in good condition, and you like it, buy it.

People might start to offer them at a higher price, and I have seen them go at about $290.00, but the average price for a used Sebenza sold on this forum is about $275.00. Offers to sell one for as low as $250.00 have appeared, but you had best be quick or you will miss out on the deal.

The thing to remember when buying a used Reeve's knife is that for a nominal fee, he will refinish it to look like a new knife.
I have seen the refinished product and they do great work.

If you can get a good price for one that has been used, you can send it back to them for refinishing and get basically a new knife for a good price.

I love my Sebenza and am looking for an Umfaan. Great knives-fixed and folders.
