Got to get around to finishing the first one:D
Anywho I have a long way to go before forging that first bowie...Steel has a mind of its own under the hammer.
Like they say Practice---Practice---Practice
This is the second blade I have ever forged. Blade is 1060 with a deep etch to show the grain.
Has My First piece of Chainsaw Damascus on the pommel.
OAL is 12" with the blade being 7" tip to front of guard.
Ricasso looks small but is full 1/4" thick and plenty strong.
Elk Crown handle with Girrafe bone and brass

Thanks for looking --- Now if I can just get the steel to move in the right direction!

This one has a personality of its own. I have one which is slightly similar to the one in the picture.

I think it's an outstanding total package.
The lines flow well and the handle compliments the blade design.
