I couldn't find anything specific, (forgive me if I overlooked it, and please point me there) but would it be appropriate to list an item in the for sale forum and say "make me an offer?" I don't know if the potential for a bidding situation might arise or not. I can certainly see where it would be good to avoid that. My problem is, I have something that is of no value to me, and I would as soon see someone else get some use from it. Thanks!

There are no hard and fast rules, but typically the mods and most members want to see a price, otherwise it can turn into an auction. You may want to consider putting it up in the for trade area.

Our exchange guys do a great job. Seldom do the supers have to mess in their playground. Email one of them with details and see how they react.

No, you can't say "make me an offer" here; everybody will climb all over you (including the moderators). You have to post your price. If you don't know how much to ask you could try searching here, and maybe ebay too....

Thanks guys-that's kinda what I figured. What I want to sell is a pretty extensive set of bike tools. I was hoping to avoid itemizing every little spoke wrench and brake clamp, but I guess that's what I'll have to do. Oh well, it seldom hurts to try to be lazy. ;)
