Sent 4 repair/1 month ago/no word???

Hi...I sent my little brothers Police model in for repair five weeks ago...It was signed for at Spyderco a month ago...I sent a couple of emails last week to ask about the status of things...thought I would get the funds for the repair on the way...no response...???
Wondering if this is normal...We are a Spyderco family, and that is not going to change...best folders out there, no doubt..Just curious. this is my first service request....
 
Your best bet would probably be to try calling them. It seems like they frequently don't answer emails.

The only time I had to send a knife in, it took around six weeks to get it back. I called after about a month or so to check on the status of the repairs and their customer service was very helpful. They just asked me my name, then immediately told me what was going on with the knife and when it'd be done.
 
Plus, you posted over a holiday weekend. Probably not the best time to get a hold of Sal and the crew.

I'd make sure you give this thread the old "btt" sometime on Monday, as it's sure to be buried in the list by then.

Cerulean's advice is most prudent however, give them a call.

i recently sent in 3 spydies for repair, and the turn around time was about 6 wks, so i think ya should call 'em monday.....

Hey thanks guys...Was mostly curious about a turn around time...Sounds like now is about right for a call...want to get funds for repair headed that way so it's not a double wait...
