Connie had an idea to have a September Gathering, where the wives are invited. (She wants to meet some of your "better halfs"). We were thinking September the 15th, at the big shelter at McKinley Woods. There are grills there to cook on, and trails if anyone is interested in hiking. Let us know your thoughts, and what weekend would be better. I figure since the Michigan Gathering won`t be untill November, it would be a good excuse to see all of you sooner.

1) John and Connie
2) John S. and Diane
3) Cooper
4) Andy + ?
5) Jeff and Jennifer
6) Tom and Yvonne

Sounds great. The wife said she would even go, as long as there were other women there. Something about her not wanting to be in a room full of strange men with knives. I dunno *shrugs*

Connie said the same thing, she does not want to be the only woman there. We both have very few friends, she would love to meet others.

I am definitely interested. Sounds like a much more reasonable drive for me than Michigan.
Although I am single.:D

I'll ask, we have been saying we won't be able to go anywhere (despite a very kid offer from Todd that's been tempting us as well) but I think we're getting cabin fever, I wonder if our poor car would make it there though :).

My wife Diane said she would go with me. I have Sept.15th open, the 22nd I have a 5K run with my daughter. If the 22nd is better for everyone that's fine we will make it to a future gathering.

I will have to ask Maggie when I talk to het. I like the idea, but she works most weekends.

Best

I talked to Tom on the phone this morning, and he and Yvonne are planning on coming.

It looks like my wife and I may be able to make it. Still need to confirm that we don't have any conflicts with the kids schedule.

I figured I better start a food list. Here is what we are bringing.

Hot dogs and buns
Paper plates
Plastic forks
Some type of dessert (Connie is experimenting with some, and I get to be the taste tester)

We should start firming up who will be coming. Even if you are not married, you are more than welcome. Start posting, and I will add a list to the first post.
