Spark, over the past 3 days, I have experienced countless lags when posting or opening a thread. Dozens of times (yes dozens) I have clicked on a thread or clicked the post button only to get the swirling blue circle. Many times I have also gotten the "Network Timeout" message from Firefox.

I have also noticed plenty of "double posts" in this same time frame which I am certain is a result of others experiencing this same phenomena.

Thanks.

And I thought it was just me. when posting, I have left my computer after the lag started and come back minutes later and it still had the hour glass running. I am using Chrome, but in FF3, I get network timeouts.

Same thing when opening some threads, but at other times the pages just pop. I thought the server was being reset.

Wish I had some time stamps for you, but did not think to record them, next lag, I will.

Thank you for all you do Spark,
Jim

It has happened so often over the last three days that to try to keep track of the times would be a waste of time...

PS- I also suspected my own machine at first, but I'm glad I finally spoke up.

I have noticed it occasionally but possibly not as much as you guys. I too thought it was just me but maybe gremlins are doing their thing closer to the server end.

me too...often during peak viewing times. The banner loads but the text of the thread does not load...its like the early years of the internet...

I have noticed this since server upgrade.

Me also.

Every time I post I get an error stating that I must wait 60 seconds to post again, so this tells me that when I hit the button one time that for whatever reason it's trying to post again. If that 60 second rule were not in place I know I would have accidentally double posted.

I have also noticed the lag when clicking on a thread or trying to submit a post.

I find that if after posting, if it lags, I just hit the back button and my post is there. I'm sure the lagging is the reason for all the double posts that are happening.

Tech support notified. Thanks for the updates

Yes it has been slow for posting after hitting quick reply, caused me to double post.

ARRRGHH! I clicked a link, went and made breakfast, came back after eating breakfast, went and evacuated some waste, came back, and then the page loaded.

And the lag is only noticeable on BF, it seems to have gotten worse since the server swap.

I know it's being investigated, i just had to blow off some steam.:D

two minute delay when hitting new posts, at 7:29pm CST, not forum time. Actual.
