Thanks for the website. I love the pics.

StJames,
Do you have any of the fixed blades and if so do you like them?

Yes I can do it (I have the tecno wheel). Just wandering if it had already been done. If not I would like to do it as I think many would love the service. What do you guys think?

I read somewhere on the CR website that serrations can be added on the Sebenza or fixed blade by the factory.

We do offer a partial serration on both Sebenzas and fixed blades - you simply have to rquest them. Costs an additonal $20.00.

We ask all our customers to think carefully whether they really need serrations or not. A well sharpened straight edge is a more efficient cutting edge - in other words, it will cut more cleanly. A serrated edge will cut more aggressively and is ideal if your needs include cutting rope and cord on a regular basis. It doesn't make sense to lose almost a third of your effective cutting edge if you don't really need serrations.

Granted, most people prefer/need a plain blade but, why don't you at least offer a fully serrated blade?

I'm one of those strange birds that likes a partially serrated blade. I mentioned in another post that I would like some on my Tanto Sebenza (sorry Mike, but for $20 I'd have to go with the Reeve's on this one).

My question is...would this effect the collectibility or the value of said knife?

Bernie:

I think it was true a year ago. We used to sell a majority of knives in plain edge. Now, 65% of the tactical knives we sell that come in both styles, are combo edge and the percentage is growing. The same is true of black blades. Personally I use serrations only for my trusty bread knife in the kitchen but now I'm in a minority. I don't own a single black bladed knife personally at all. Man am I out of fashion.

Does that mean you can get a Project I without the serrations?

Scarman,

I believe you can request a Project without serrations.

Question for the Reeve's,
When you say you can add the serrations for $20, does that mean on a current knife in production? Or can I send my Sebenza in to have it done? If so, it's on the way. Thanks!
Joseph
